Lysosomes in health and disease: we study lysosomes, the cell’s main organelle for degradation of cellular and extracellular material. We study lysosomes in live cells and isolate lysosomes for functional studies in vitro, this work has parallels to artificial organelles.

Nanoinjection to manipulate cellular function: we are part of a collaborative project using nanopipettes to perform single molecule delivery into cells to study macromolecules in cells and to manipulate cellular function.
