I am interested in the effect of nanoscale confinement on physical and chemical processes underpinning life. I have found that nucleic acid-nucleic acid and nucleic acid-enzyme interactions proceed qualitatively differently in dense and ordered nanosystems than bulk solutions, suggesting that enzyme diffusion can be controlled in DNA-based nanoreactors.
